Company History

ServiceLaunch was born in 2012. Initially we leveraged our founders expertise to help customers build and mature their service organizations. While on that journey customers consistently asked us to get more directly involved in their technology initiatives. Eventually we shifted our business focus to technology consulting.
Within our first 2 years ServiceLaunch built a team of consultants across the U.S. Achieving profitability within the first year, ServiceLaunch re-invested in to expand our capabilities and deepen our expertise. Over the past 10+ years ServiceLaunch has continued to develop broad customer experience with customers in the U.S., Europe and Asia in both private and public sector markets.

Consulting is central to our value. We are not just technologists. Our services are built on core consulting principles and we actively train our team members using this framework. We're passionate about taking our customers on a successful journey and the role that consulting expertise plays in that outcome.

Consulting Methodology

We believe a mature consulting framework enables consistent successful project outcomes. Technical expertise, while important, can be ineffective without consulting leadership. We believe our role is to act as a technology solution guide for our customers; helping them avoid pitfalls and achieve the best possible outcomes based on their business requirements. We begin by identifying and understanding our customers’ business goals to ensure we deliver the value they expect.

Consulting Discipline

Technical knowledge by itself isn’t enough. Actively applying a consulting framework is equally as important as our technical knowhow. We  developed our consulting methodology to drive customer success. ServiceLaunch invests in building our consultant expertise. Our consultants pursue training and certification in our consulting methodology as part of their career advancement, in addition to their core areas of technical areas of expertise.

Our Leadership

Bill Edgar

CEO and Co-Founder

Bill has 20+ years of experience in technology consulting leadership. Prior to co-founding ServiceLaunch, Bill was Director of Storage Software Engineering at IBM where he led the integration of Novus Consulting Group (NovusCG) software assets into the IBM Tivoli portfolio. Before IBM, Bill was a co-founder and owner at NovusCG. NovusCG was a vendor-independent privately held consulting organization headquartered in Manassas, VA. NovusCG’s mission was IP-based technology services and software in enterprise storage management. IBM acquired NovusCG in October 2007. Prior to founding NovusCG, Bill held technology consulting leadership positions at a number of small and large firms servicing the public and private sectors. Bill holds a Masters of Science in Computer Science from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Akron.
